3:38 – Good Is Always Present
#faithbites #faithjourney good
I know I’ve said this before, but life can be hard. It’s not all rainbows, puppy dogs, and kitties. It’s heartache, trials, and tribulations. We try to balance the scales but many times we fail. Then we wonder, is there anything good still out there.
In my personal life, I’m struggling with so many balls in the air and negativity. Some days, just seeing the sun is a relief.
What we forget is if we are looking for good, just remove an “O” and we have God. His Goodness reigns and makes everything worth fighting for.
Scripture
- But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” – 2 Chronicles 5:7
- Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. – James 1:17
Reflection
Shadows and darkness are around us. Sometimes our candle flickers but will not go out. All good things come from God and he is always present.
It can be hard to look at scripture during the darkest times and wonder is God really there. Will He bring a light to this season of our lives?
The easiest way to answer that is look at you life in the past. He was there and delivered you. He has and will continue to give you strength, power, and guidance, no matter how dark it is where you are.
Remember, God is Good. God is light. he is worth fighting for.
Challenge
Be strong and courageous. Seek out God in the darkness. Share His light with others.
Prayer
Lord, you are light. You conquer the darkness. Help us as our minds try to convince us we are lost or that we can do this in our own. Show us your light. Ease our hearts as we struggle. We know you were there yesterday, you are here today, and you will be here tomorrow. Heal our souls with you love in the way only you can. We love you Lord, Amen
