3:32 – A Little Nudge
#faithbites #faithjourney nudge
Today, was my first experience with float therapy. Think sensory deprivation. You are in a tank and float in highly salted, body temperature, water. After a while, you beging to lose sense of where your body stops and starts. As you are floating, you move a bit around the tank. Sometimes I would hit the side and push off just a bit. What I found was just a tiny nudge moved me to the other side. Almost no effort needed, and I was in a new place.
The nudge reminded me of a 1970s show called Salvage 1, it was about a junk man who wanted to go to the moon to salvage the Apollo moon landing gear and sell it. It one of the first episodes, he explain his propulsion system was different than NASA. NASA fires all their thrust at once as hard and fast as possible. Salvage would start slow and double speed each second. Just a nudge to get it started.
Are you experiencing a nudge in your life to make a change?
Scripture
- Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be. – Job 8:7
- Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” – Mark 5:36
Reflection
We all start somewhere on our #faithjourney. Then God intervenes. No matter how humble, if we have faith in Jesus, we will prosper. All we need to do is believe.
This nudge can come in the form of anything. Maybe it’s reading a #faithbite, hearing a song, our just seeing the beauty of God’s work.
Trust in Jesus and let that little nudge move you through your journey.
Challenge
Looks back at your life. Have you been nudged in a direction that you never though possible. Remember how they felt and be on the lookout for the next one. You never know how God will change your life.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for your direction and love. Thank you for being with us always, even we we don’t sense it. Jesus, we need to be directed and nudged on the right path. Help us to see your presence and follow. Don’t let us overcompensate in the wrong direction. We love you and give you all the glory and honor. Amen.
