May 30 – Simple Faith Reminders
2:150 – Simple Faith Reminders

#faithbites #faithjourney reminders

Some days are easy, some days are harder. Some days we rely more on God than others. Still there are some days when we need those reminders that we are not alone and God is with us.

Today was a good day, except for some pain still. We were making the drive home from St Louis and I was watching the mile markers on the side of the road. One looked odd, as if it was a number I didn’t recognize. As I got closer, someone had put a horizontal piece of white reflective material on the number one. So instead of number 1, it was a cross. Guess I needed that reminder.

Scripture
  • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9
  • “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”Zephaniah 3:17
  • “Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”Matthew 28:20
Reflection

On numerous occasions, God tells us to trust him and be courageous. He will never leave us, never foresake us, and will always love us.

He continues that we should also observe everything he says and be observant. God is always watching us.

Sometimes we need a little reminder that he is there. Be it the #1 turned into a cross or Jesus appearing on your toast or whatever.

Be observant and you will always see God wherever you look.

Charge

Need a reminder that God is around? Just look for him. You will be surprised where you see him.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for always being there for us. Sometimes we forget that you are always around and we need those reminders. Thank you for those simple signs that remind us you are looking out for us. Help is to see your sings always. In your name, Amen.
