290 – Neverending Questions
#faithbites #faithjourney neverending
- That’s the average number of questions a 4 year old asks per day. That’s quite a few question. Add to that an inquisitive eight year old and who knows how many questions that is.
As a parent, I answer as many questions as I can. It seems that they come nonstop and when there are two at once, my brain melts. Not only do I not know all the answers, I can process the questions as fast as the come.
Faith is kinda like that. I have so many questions about faith that I ask and in prayer I ask questions everyday. Some times I get answers, most of the time more questions.
Keep in mind that I am one person. I’m gone the millions if not billions asking God questions. I can’t imagine how much patience he has.
Scripture
- And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. – 1 John 5:14-15
Reflection
Tonight, I chose only one scripture as I felt that says it all. We know God is always there for us. He answers our prayers and our questions when it is his will. He wants us to come in prayer. We ask our questions, we ask for many things, and he answers.
God is also very patient. A billion people can ask 300 questions a day and he would never get upset or lose patience. As it says in 1 Corinthians: love is patient, love is kind, etc. Since God is Love, God is patient, God is kind.
Charge
Go ahead and ask your 300 questions. Ask a million of them. Just make sure to listen to the answers. God will give you answers and never lose his cool.
Lord, help me to have patience like Christ. Let me answer those questions I can answer, and if I can’t, give me the strength to ask you and listen to you.
