Hang In There
Apr 14 – Just Hang In There
3:105 – Just Hang In There

#faithbites #faithjourney hang

Some days you just need to hang in there. For instance, I tried to do a video #faithbite and it was constantly interrupted by the dog, the kids, the video, everything. But it is what it is. It reinforced the need for this #faithbites.

I was reading a post from a Pastor that said this is probably the hardest week for Christians and many people. The reason is Easter is over, and we have nothing to look forward to. We don’t know when work or school will resume. When will the shops open? When will quarantine be over? We have no idea. We just need to hang in there.

Remember, that no matter how isolated you are, you are never alone. Jesus is with you.

Scripture
  • John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
  • 1 John 4:4 – But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
  • Deuteronomy 31:6 – So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Reflection

Jesus is with us. He has given us his peace. God commands to be strong and courageous. The main point here is God is with us, we are his children, we are stronger than the spirit in the world, and he is going ahead of us.

It is hard to get a minute of peace when you are working, learning, playing, and living in the same space. We don’t have the chance to go out. We just don’t know what tomorrow will bring. What we do know is that our Lord conquered the grave, forgave our sins, and will never leave us.

I pray that while it is hard, just stay the course (2 Timothy 4:7). Hang in there. You will be richly rewarded. And maybe tomorrow, I will try for a video #faithbite when I have hung in just a little bit more.

Challenge

As yourself this question: How are you doing? Are you struggling? Are you not doing ok? If you aren’t doing well and are struggling, know you aren’t alone. You have help in the world from God’s people. Reach out and ask for it. Pray to the Lord and ask for his presence and his deliverance. He will answer.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, give us something to look forward to. Let us feel your presence. Help us to hang in during these uncertain times. You command us to be strong and courageous. Help us to fulfill that command even in the crazy world. Help us to feel your peace in all that we do, say, and feel. We love you and are blessed that you have chosen us to be your children. In your name, Amen.
