It seems that we need something to fight about, something to be angry about, and something to divide us. Imagine if we used that energy to bind together and build rather than separate and tear down.

• Numbers 30:2 – If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
• Proverbs 3:3 – Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.
• Colossians 3:14 – And over all these virtues put on love,⁽which binds them all together in perfect unity

Prayer

Lord God, help us move beyond petty insults and the media coverage of the day that threatens to destroy us. Help us use your word and seek your guidance to bind us together always. Amen
