5:24 – It’s Not In My Head

Intro

Covid has me questioning lots of things. What S real vs what’s in my head. I have been questioning because eine minute I will be ok then the next I feel like I’m dying. I was trying to tell myself I’m not making it up. When I talked to my doc, she confirmed that other patients have this same experience nce. It’s not in my head.

We can think of faith in the same way. Some people don’t believe in God and think everything is fake or in our heads. Unlike science, I can’t prove faith. I know how I feel and I can see God everywhere in the world around me. I know he isn’t in my head. God is real. His message is love and we shoild believe it.

• What do you do when people say God or Jesus isn’t real?

Scripture

• Romans 1:20 – For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
• 1 Corinthians 8:6 – Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
• 1 John 4:8 – Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Reflection

God is definitely not in your head. He is real, he exists, and he has created everything around you. Even the scientists who believe in the Big Bang can’t explain where the stuff to make the big bang came from

Not only is God real, but he is alive and through God we know love. He showed us love and wants us to show love to one another. Without God, none of this can exist.

Faith isn’t easy. You can see faith nor can you touch God. But that doesn’t mean he’s in your head. I can’t touch kov but can show it and we know love exists.

As we close, remember that God is real, faith is real, and none of this is made up or in your head. Share God and your faith with others.

Prayer

Lord God, thank you for your love and for our faith. We know you are real as you work daily in our lives. Tonight, we pray for those sick with Covid and other ailments. We pray for those who are don’t know you. Let them see how real you are and how without you, we would be lost. We pray this in your name, Amen.
