Happy New Year’s Eve. Tomorrow we will talk about the New Year, but right now, we will just turn it to God and focus on what he says. No questions to ask, no challenges, just turning it to God and listening to what he has to say.

Scripture

Matthew 6:33-34 – But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble

Reflection

Before we think about resolutions, goals, and all the rest that is associated with New Year’s Day, turn it to God. Ask him for what his plan for you is. Don’t be anxious for tomorrow and about starting something new. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but we know in God’s light, we will be OK.

For today and tonight, reflect on where you’ve been and ASK God for his direction.

As we close out 2021, remember God in all things.

Prayer

Father God, thank you for getting us through another year. We’ve lost. So many, gained many, and had so many adventures this year. Lord, tonight we pray that you help us reflect on 2021, and keep you in our eyes, mind, hearts, and soul for 2022 and beyond. In your name, Amen.
