Intro

Tonight I talked to a new friend for several hours. We talked about life, the universe, and everything. From discussions on history to religion to world events, we shared our truths The most important thread, through all the topics was, how we as humans could do better. Yes, I am tired and they were tired. Yet, it was a Kairos moment to learn, discuss, and grow. Time was ticking and sleep was calling, but the conversations were more important. Remember, God wants us to rest and he wants us to be together and spend the time to share, grow, and learn.

Scripture
  • Hebrews 10:25 – Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
  • Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 – Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Prayer

Father God, thank you for new friends. Thank you for letting us find people who we can share our truth with, challenge us as people, and help us grow. Lord, many things get in the way of us spending the time we need with friends. We pray that you give us rest, peace, and help us make the time to share with friends and family. Amen.
