4:188 – Seeing The Future
#faithbites #faithjourney future
Setting
On vacation, my youngest decided to share my bed. It was alike sleeping with a fish as she flipped all night. At five this morning, I could sleep. She was turned towards me and I just stared at her sleeping. I saw the good and bad she has done and also the possible futures that God has for her. I also realized the impact on her life that I have.
This really got me thinking about what God thinks of when he looks at us. I know he knows the future and sees the good and bad we have done. He also loves us and is very active in our lives.
Today’s Questions: What do you see when you look in others eyes? What does the future look like to you? How does the good and bad they have done effect their future?
Scripture
- Romans 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
- Romans 8:38-39 – For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Philippians 1:6 – And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Reflection
We know that God has plans for us that are to help and not harm us. God want us to succeed.and see our future. He knew the number of hairs on our head (Luke 12:7).
God knows our sin and loves us. God knew wis before we were born, knows our sins and our works, and loves us no matter what. The awesome thing is no matter the faults we’ve made as humanity he keeps trying to help us.we had the fall of the garden of Eden, the great flood, is failing at the ten commamemts. Then he gave us not only his Son but the Holy Spirit to help. Through them, we have all the blessings we have. What a Good Good Father we have.
The takeaway from today is that the future is in God’s hands. He sees our future, our good and bad, and wants us to succeed. We can use this not only for how we should grow but also that we can see the future of others. We can approach others with the same love, blank slate, and possibility that God does with us.
i donr know.who my daughter will grow into. I do know she is loved by God as he knows he completely and zimmhere to help make those plans a reality.
As we close, remember that our past sons are wiped clean and our future is in God’s hands. Let’s embrace his plans!
Prayer
Lord God, thBk you for being our father. You love us know matter the good or the bad we’ve done. You know the future you have planned for us. We pray that you help us achieve the future you want us to have. Guide us they way you want us to live.
Lord, we also thank you for your Son, Jesus. If it wasn’t for him, you would only see our sin and not the pure creatures that you wanted. Thank you for him. Lord we pray that we sin less, love more, and serve how you want us to. In your name, Amen.
