3:354 – Rest Assured, There Is A Purpose
#faithbites #faithjourney assured
Setting
We all have good days and bad days. Some days we question everything and other days, life just falls into place. We hope that we have more good days then bad.
I often wonder what the purpose is, even knowing God’s promises. So today, lacking inspiration, I searched for a verse of the day, an lo and behold, it fits not into what I needed but also with Christmas.
Scripture
Luke 2:10-11 – but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
Reflection
It’s not about presents or accomplishments. It’s not about knowing how to spend every minute or making the perfect choices. It is about Jesus. Imagine how afraid the shepard smust have been but God told them to relax and know that this is God and this will be good.
We can rest assured that God knew we needed forgiveness and gave his Son to us. He was born not to nobility but was made incarnate in a poor family. Jesus was threatened, lived as an immigrant, and died as a criminal.
He was always assured that God has a plan and knew why he was hear. For us, we just need to realize that God is God, he’s in control, AND, he will make good on all his promises.
So, no matter if today is a good day or bad day, remember God has your back. We have nothing to fear.
Challenge
Sometimes I feel like a broken record, but we need to turn it to God. That’s it. Have faith and let God handle it.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help us no matter what kind of day we are having, no matter how good or hard it is, no matter if we feel on the right track or not. Let us rest in you and know that your Birth was foretold and that all promises will be fufilled. Let us trust in you always. In your name, Amen.
