3:196 – Happiest Scriptures
#faithbites #faithjourney scripture
I’ve been feeling out of sorts lately. Maybe it’s the world condition, maybe it’s being home from the pandemic, maybe it’s my mental health meds, maybe I’m just tired. Who knows, but I’ve been down today.
So I decided to Google Happiest Scriptures as I find strength and comfort in the Word of the Lord.
I hope that these bring you comfort too.
Scripture
- Psalm 37:4 – Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
- Isaiah 12:2 – Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
- 1 Peter 4:13 – But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
Reflection
Jesus himself said life would be hard. Following him was filled with hardships. But as we see in 1 Peter, the more suffering we have the more rejoicing we will have when we see Jesus. We will be richly rewarded for our faith and service.
We don’t even have to wait that long. The Lord is our defense and salvation. He will answer our desires in his way, his time, and by his will.
So fear not dear readers, you may feel wonky, out of sorts, or lost. But Jesus is by your side, holding your hand, and preparing the way forward. Rest assured of that.
Challenge
Give yourself a break. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect all the time. Making mistakes, feeling glum, and just out of sorts is ok. Take 5 minutes to commune with Jesus. Talk to him and pour your sorrows in him. He will fill you back up.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for these happiest scriptures. We are blessed by your word and knowing that there are many more where these came from. You are our light, our hope, and our salvation. Be with us on the glum days are you are everyday. We love you and give you all the glory and power, Amen.
