3:68 – Do Not Be Afraid

Today in church, I heard that the Bible says Do Not Be Afraid 365 times, which is a reminder for us not to be fear. I googled it and unfortunately it’s not true. There are many times it is said and many other phrases that mean it.

Remember that no matter where you are in life or in your #faithjourney, you do not have to be afraid. God is always on your side. He knows where you’ve been and has prepared where you are going.

Fear Not

Scripture

• Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 43:10
• Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
• Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6

Reflection

No need to bemoan the fact, that God is with us. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the Bible 365 times, it is His Word and it is true!

We need to think beyond the physical and know that he loves us and will protect us.

Time to go out into the world and Be Not Afraid.

Challenge

Are you afraid of something? Is something trying to stand against you? Turn it over to God and know you have nothing to fear.

Prayer

Lord, you have told us numerous times to fear not and not be afraid. Help us live lives of peace and not fear. Remind us to turn it over to you and know you will take care of everything. In your name, Amen.
