3:22 – Where Do I Go With Questions?
#faithbites #faithjourney questions
I was watching a show with my eldest tonight when a commerical for NerdWallet came on. It started with people wondering about financial issues and questioning everything.. It ended with NerdWallet being the place to answer them.
I find myelf everyday asking questions about life, the universe, and everything. I find many answers in science, but not all. When I’m questioning my religion or faith, I go to the source: The Bible. It’s God’s instruction manual.
I had a friend tell me they didn’t need to go church as they have the Bible. Sure, you dont need to go to church, but it’s like trying to learn a new language with only a dictionary. You need help and guidance.
So how do you get your questions answered?
Scripture
- “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7
- But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5
- ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know’ – Jeremiah 33:3
Reflection
God is pretty clear. He wants us to ask questions. He wants to anwwer them and answer our questions. Unlike us, he never tires of answer questions.
Take time to ask them of him. Then listen. The answer may not come right then, but it will come. He will provide you everything you need and answer your questions.
We don’t need NerdWallet to answer our questions. We have God, his word, and those he puts in our life to answer them. We just need to ask.
Challenge
What questions do you have? Share them with God and with us. We will help you find the answer through prayer, research, and His presence.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for answering all of our questions. We have so many questions about life, faith, and everything. Sometimes we are scared to ask or look in the wrong places for answers. Be the light for us. Help ud to look to you and you alone for answers. In your name, Amen.
