June 19 – Wizard Needs Food Badly

Wizard Needs Food Badly

Tonight I’m feeling exhausted. Physically and mentally but also spiritually. The title of this #faithbites is a reference to an 80s video game. In the game you can play as a wizard and you need food to restore your health. That’s how I feel but a cheeseburger isn’t going to cut it.

I work hard. I play hard. I live hard. I try to Love God and Love People. Sometimes it is really hard to Love People when they sow so much hate and ignorance. Our world is in turmoil as it always has been but it seems more real today.

The name of the Lord is used incorrectly and harmfully as it was in the day. The twisting and turning off the Word to suit whatever hateful actions people want.

I use my calling to share the word, share His Love, and try to meet people where they are. This isn’t easy and sometimes quite exhausting. It makes me want to take the easy road sometimes.

“A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense” – Proverbs 19:11

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” – Romans 12:17-18

“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10b

Looking over offenses and forgiving those who tresspass against us is key. While I try to practice this, you do get tired and exhausted from it. It makes life hard. I know the Lord is my refuge and strength.

Tonight, after one of these confrontations,I ended it with I pray the Lord send the Holy Spirit to heal your heart. I got a Good Bless you in return.

I don’t know if I handled that right, but I learn and try every day.

But for now, Wizard Needs Food Badly. That will come in the form of prayer and rest.

Will you stand up for the Lord? Will you stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves? Will you lean on the Lord when you need spiritual food?

I will with the help of God.
