Today we continue the discussion on being a witness. Talking about my faith is near and dear to my heart. There are so many things I don’t know. I can’t quote scripture off the top of my head. I don’t know the who, what, where, when of all the books of the bible. Sometimes I think Matthew, Mark, Luke and John ad related to John, Paul, George, and Ringo. (Ok, I’m teasing on that one). There is so much I don’t know. But I learned, that doesn’t stop me from being a witness. We can all witness God’s grace, Jesus’ salvation, and the faith through the Holy Spirit. The question is how?
“But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen” – Acts 26:22-23
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.” – Isaiah 43:10
I wanted to share how I write Faith Bites. It isn’t magical. It isn’t me knowing the scriptures in an out. It’s me thinking about how I am feeling at that moment. It’s reflecting on an experience of the day. It’s an idea that comes through prayer. Then I think about that thought and I google scripture that relates to it. Then I read a bit about it, share my thoughts, and go from there. That’s it. No magic. But yet, I’m a witness for the Lord. It doesn’t take much. What I have heard is the most beneficial is when I tell my faith story.
Are you ready to be a witness? Are you ready to share you story? Are you ready to help others find their faith?
I am
