5:79 – Stand up for yourself

Intro

Service to others is a common theme in both the Bible and throughout #faithbites. One thing that I don’t talk about as much as when to stand up for yourself? When does it become being walked on over being of service? How can we make sure our needs are met while following God’s will?

Reflect on these scriptures. What does they stir in your heart?

• Galatians 5:1 – For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
• Proverbs 25:26 – Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,. We pray that you help us be strong and courageous. Help us find harmony between serving and ensuring our needs are meet. Lord, we trust you to provide for us. Help us to not be taken advantage of by others. We pray this in your name, Amen
