5:66 – Meh Is The Feeling Of Today
#faithbites #faithjourney meh
Intro
I’ve been in a good deal of pain for the past 72 hours. Haven’t really elft the house nor did I work today. I have so many things I should be doing, but I’m all out of spoons. I’m just feeling meh. Not good and not bad but meh. I have what I need and am physically taken care of, just feeling meh.
Questions
- What. Makes you feel meh?
- How do you get out of that funk?
- What words of advice would you give someone else who’s feeling like that?
Scripture
- Psalm 81:10 – I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
- Romans 15:10 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Reflection
Feeling meh also feels empty. You aren’t happy or sad, just there. I know it’s a physical feeling and based on a need that’s not being met. That need isn’t from buying something or doing something, it’s always from connecting with God. When we’ve connected with him, we are blessed and full. Just like yesterday when we said we don’t have to plead for God to be do things, we don’t have to plead with him to fill us up. We just need to ask
As we close, though you may feel meh and be out of spoons, God is there for you and will fill you up. Ask him for the strength to seek out his comfort.
Prayer
Lord Jesis, I’m feeling pretty meh today. Many of us are tired, exhausted and worn out. We aren’t feeling bad or good, just meh. Tonight w epray that you will fill our mouths, bellies, and spirit with your love, energy, and compassion. We pray this in your name, Amen.
