5:26 – What’s It All Mean
#faithbites #faithjourney what’s
Intro
Today’s #faithbites is a bit existential, blame it on the steroids. I’ve been thinking a lot a out what those around me are going through COVID, new babies, new jobs, moving, financial things, spiritual crises, new houses, and the list goes on and on. This world is crazy. We ask our kids what they want to be when they grow up, referring to a profession rather than what impact do you want to have on the world. The quest for money seems to be the goal. But what’s the point? I’ve said many times that you have to read the whole story (The Bible) to know God’s plan for us, but even when we know what’s the meaning do we love by it?
Questions
- Does your understanding of God’s plan go beyond your Sunday morning worship?
- Are actively engaged in sharing his word or do you fall into the daily grind?
- Are you asking yourself what’s the point in all of this?
- What can you do to help fill your Godhole with God and not stuff.
Scripture
Matthew 6:23 – But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Reflection
What’s the point? In Matthew Jesus says we need to seek the kingdom of God first and all these things will be added to you. But what are these things? Food, water, clothing, and salvation. This is what he’s talking about. Why do we work? To provide for ourselves and our families. What if we focused God first, hence why some savings systems have tithing before anything else, and then on everything else. I can tell you I’m not there yet. I want to be the person who is God first in all things. There are times when I think I’m God first but find myself caught in the daily grind.
Now, I would be remiss, if in a #faithbites about what it all. Means, I didn’t share that the Answer to Life, The Universe, and everything was 42. While that may be true, God must have made the equation..
As we close, remember, God already told us what it all means. We just have to listen.
Prayer
Fathwr God, we love you and give you all the love and tjanks we cna. Thank you for giving us the answers, even if we don’t listen. We pray that you help give us clarity, peace, and comfort no matter what we are going through. YournGrac is sufficient for us. In your name, Amen
