November 5 – Your Voice Is Getting To Me

4:339 – Your Voice Is Getting To Me

#faithbites #faithjourney voice

Setting

This #faithbites title can be taken two ways, one we hate, and one we grow to love. The first is the one we hate. Have you ever had a situarion when someone’s voice is so aggravating/annoying/grating that you just don’t want to hear it anymore? Maybe its whiny kids (check), a politician, a boss, or someone else. Today was one of thise days, where I just needed the noise to stop. It got to a point it didnt matter what the person was saying, it just drove me nuts.

On the other hand, have you had someone’s words finally male sense. Their voice fibally got to you and you understood it. The time when you arw open and ready to act on the words. I pray that God’s voice is one of those.

Today’s Questions: How do you channel Gods voice? What do you do when you really need to hear him.

Scripture
  • John 10:27 – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
  • Jeremiah 33:3 – Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
  • Isaiah 30:21 – And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
Reflection

We want to hear God’s voice as he is who we should follow. Sometimes, we dont want to to hear it, but when it finally gets to us and we let it sink in, we know how to live. God tells us to call to him and he will answer. He is always with us even when we don’t feel him.

As we close, remember that even though some voices get to us in a bad way, God’s voice us one we want to get to us. Our goal should be to get to a point where we hear and understand his voice.

Prayer

Lord God, please hear our call. Help us to hear your voice and act on it. We pray that we not only hear your voice but that your words sink in and we get it. Help our hearts to be open to listen, understand, and just get it. In your name, Amen.
