4:132 – Praying For Healing
#faithbites #faithjourney praying
Setting
I often see requests for prayers. I often ask for prayers for healing. Today, I want to drive into praying for healing.
A good friend is in the hospital waiting for an early arrival for her first child. So we pray.
I just had an injection in my back and hope it works. So we pray.
Many people are sick, hurt, and looking for healing. So we pray.
Praying is powerful.
Today’s Questions: Do you feel comfort and healing when someone prays for you? How do you feel when you pray for someone else?
Scripture
- 3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul
- Psalm 107:19-20 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.
- Psalm 30:2 – Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
Reflection
Our God has promised to answer our prayers. He has and will never leave us. Prayers for healing truly have power. He tells us to call to him and we will be healed. The Lord knows we will face all sorts of trials and tribulations that require healing. It could be physical, mental, spiritual, financial, or aspects of our lives. None are off limits for God and his healing power.
As we close, remember that when you pray for others, it has power. When they pray for you, it has power as well. Let someone know you are praying for them.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, tonight we pray many prayers for healing. From new babies to health care workers, from physical pains to the COVID Pandemic, and from mental to financial pains. Lord we ask for spiritual healing for all those who have strayed or do not know you.
We know you are an awesome God and will answer all of our prayers. In your glorious name, we pay, Amen.
