4:51 – Keep Fighting For The truth

#faithbites #faithjourney #fighting

Setting

Today’s, verse of the day is Matthew 5:6 which says, “God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.”

Sometimes life is easy, other times, it isn’t. I’ve been a bit down with personal pain and the pain of things going on in the world. But, I won’t give up. Christ tells us that he will bless us and help us when we fight for justice. We are to help our neighbors and make sure they have what they need. It doesn’t mean it will be easy, but with God in our side, how can we go wrong?

Today’s Questions: What does fighting for justice look like for you? How will you help others?

Scripture
  • Matthew 5:6 – God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.
  • Proverbs 21:15 – When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
  • Isaiah 1:17 – Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.
Reflection

Fighting for justice isn’t an easy thing. It can mean different things to different people. We also need to realize that getting justice for others doesn’t mean you lose out. There is enough justice to go around?

Just know that we are a chosen people. Chosen to help others, love God, and share His Justice with all.

As we close, remember God empowers us to fight for others. He will fufil every need. Don’t give up the good fight.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for everything you give us. You give us a mighty challenge in fighting for justice for those who don’t have it. We pray that you give us the strength and determination needed to complete this task. Help us to always thirst for justice and know that you will quench that thirst with your love. We pray all this in your name, Amen.
