3:360 – Merry Christmas – Something New!
#faithbites #faithjourney Christmas
Setting
Merry Christmas Everyone. Blessings and Greetings. I have had a quiet small family Christmas. It’s not the normal Christmas and that’s ok. Sometimes we need a change to realize what is important.
Normally, I share the forgiveness and love of our Savior. Today, we focus not on his gifts but what his coming meant. This was something new.
Many of us wait until New Year’s Day to start something new. Today, just as Jesus’ birth signified something new, make a choice to do something new.
Follow Christ like never before.
Scripture
- Isaiah 43:19 – For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Reflection
Jesus was promised by God. Even God did a new thing by sending Jesus to us. Now it’s up to us, to do something new.
We don’t have to live in our past as once we accept Jesus we are a new creation. How awesome is that.
So, I won’t keep you today so you can enjoy the time with your friends, family, or however you celebrate. Know that you have a chance to do something new thanks to Jesus.
The most wonderful thing, is each day you have a new chance to start new.
Merry Christmas and God’s blessings to you.
Challenge
What do you want to do new? Live in Christ! Baby steps to a new you in Christ.
