3:97 – Find Someway to Love
#faithbites #faithjourney #holyweek someway
I was thinking about what to write about today and how we all need a bit of love in this COVID-19 world. Then the lyrics “Can anybody find me somebody to love?” from Queen’s Somebody to love. What if we change it from somebody to someway to love.
Think about that, instead of thinking of a specific person, think about how you show your love. Can you leave a note for your mail carrier? Maybe you have dinner delivered to your neighbor. How about just sending a note to a colleague telling them you are thinking about them. These low cost or free items are just someway to love another person.
God has loved us from the beginning, let’s find someway to love everyone.
Scripture
- Let all that you do be done in love. – 1 Corinthians 16:14
- Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.– 1 Peter 4:8
- And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. – Colossians 3:14
Reflection
Everything we do should be in love. Love will conquer all and help bind us together in perfect harmony. Some of us are afraid to say that we love people, as we think only in romantic love. There are so many ways to show God’s love in everything we do. Let’s make love part of our every day. When God’s people come together divide burdens and multiply celebrations we are sharing love.
We will keep this #faithbite short and sweet. As we continue through Holy week and see the ultimate love from Christ for us, will you show someway to love?
Challenge
Find one, just one, small way to show someone love. Doesn’t have to cost thing. Share how you are sharing that love.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for loving us first. Help us in this time of physical distancing to find someway to love. We don’t have to like a person, but help us share God’s love in everything we do. Let us be like you and love no matter what. In your name, amen.
