Dec 25 – Warning Labels: Jesus
2:359 – Warning Labels : Jesus

#faithbites #faithjourney #Christmas warning

McDonald’s Hot Chocolate: Warning, Coffee served very hot. TENS electric shock: Do not apply to head, face, or genitals. Banana Nut Muffin: Warning, contains nuts.

These are all warnings that we thing we shouldn’t need. But we need them because someone obviously did that and the company was as held liable.

On this Christmas Day, I think of the Birth of Jesus. God gave us the 10 commandments on how to live and we messed up. He flooded the earth and we messed up. He sent Jesus to make it even simpler. We still mess up, but he forgives us.

Our warning labels have been out there because we mess up. If we look to the Star, Jesus, we won’t be hurt by not following the labels.

Scripture
  • Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” – John 8:12
Reflection

Jesus is our light. He tells us how to live and how to follow him. When we do so, we see the light and are blessed. When we don’t, we have many more challenges and trials.

Everyone can do as they please. I don’t judge them. They choose to live how they want. I want better for all of us but all I can do is love them and follow the light. One day, if its Gods will, they will follow as well.

I hope as the sun sets and we move past Christmas, we always see the light of Christ. He warns us but only to protect us. Follow the star.

Challenge

Dont let you heart be cold. Follow the light of Jesus. His light and w as things are not to hurt you or control, but allow you to live your fullest life.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for coming and being our warning label against temptation. We love you and celebrate you not just today but every day. Open our eyes to see your star, your light, every day. In your name, Amen.
