2:355 – Don’t Poop On Someone’s Cornflakes
#faithbites #faithjourney poop
I’ll admit something here: I love ham and pineapple pizza. Some hate it and call it disgusting. You know what, if you don’t like it, don’t eat it.
I’ve seen friend tear apart other for loking things. From the new Star Wars movie to shows to books to whatever. If you don’t like it, say you don’t and allow the other to enjoy it. No need to poop on someone’s day or something they are into.
For me, this applies to faith. If someone doesn’t believe that you do, that doesn’t make them evil or anything. Let them live their life. We aren’t to make the final judgement, that’s Jesus. We can pray for people, but tearing them down, or pooping on their beliefs, won’t help
Scripture
- Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. – Philippians 2:4
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. – John 15:12
Reflection
We love one another, this is what we’ve talked about over and over. Here’s the thing, when we listen to the interests of others, we grow. You may not like Star Wars, but to see a friend happy and share that with them, is a blessing. You grow as a person.
Sure, there are things, I don’t like, and I’ll saw, I’m dont personally like it, but I’m glad you are enjoying it.
God made man, man made religion. No religion or church is perfect as it’s made by man. If someone believes something different, talk to them about it and learn. You dont have to accept it, but if you learn, you grow as friends and people.
Lots of words to say, we don’t have to like everything but we do have a choice to not poo poo on others thoughts, ideas, and beliefs..
Challenge
Find one person or one thing a friend likes that you don’t like. Tall to your friend about it and enjoy them enjoying it. You don’t have to like it but like your friend and their joy.
Prayer
Lord, help us to avoid the winning at all cost mindset. Help us find the joy that others find in their activities and beliefs. Let us be good friends who will build each other up, rather than tear each other down. We love you and thank you, Amen.
