Nov 26 – We Need A Bridge
2:330 – We Need A Bridge

#faithbites #faithjourney #frozen bridge

Tonight we took the kids to see Frozen II. It was actually pretty good. A major theme, and no spoilers here, is a bridge. When you see it you will know what I mean.

A bridge connects two places. A human bridge can connect two people. A spiritual bridge can connect us to our God. Jesus came to fufil the covenant of Abraham and connect us to the father for ever. This is a bridge that is eternal and there is no toll to cross. Just believe.

Scripture
  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 14:6
  • But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Roman’s 5:8
Reflection

In the beginning we were one with God. We broke his commandments and were doomed. But God didn’t turn his back on us. He sent Jesus to bridge that divide. He serves as a connection between the world of man and the world of God.

What an amazing bridge, one that we aren’t worthy of. But God loved us so much, he wanted us to be reunited.

We have a choice to cross that bridge and be one with our father. Will you cross or just “Let It Go?”

Challenge

Next time you cross over a bridge, think about how your trip would be different without it. Then realize that how your life would be different with Jesus, our bridge.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for reuniting us with our Father. We are not worthy of it, yet you died yo build that bridge. We love you and give you all the glory. For without you, we will be damned. With you, we have eternal life. Thank you. Amen.
