2:309 – I’m Scared But It’s Ok

Tomorrow, I am having an injection into my back. It’s a bit scary as it’s the first time I’ve ever had a procedure or injection without being put under or twilight. They are doing a local, but I’m still scared. The pain is a bit scary, but even more scary is will it work? Will the pain I have been having since May, go away? This isn’t a cure but it’s a step to figure out what’s going on.

For me, this is just like faith. I did my research on the pain and the procedure to know what I was getting into. I also know that this may or may not work. In my faith, I trust that I have salvation, but I still search and do my research. Some say I should have blind faith. For me, I have faith but need to understand, hence the research.

While I’m scared about this procedure, I’m not scared about my salvation. Are you?

Reflection

There are many things to fear in this world as it’s a crazy time for sure. When you have faith in the Lord, he gives you peace and nothing can separate us from him. It’s hard to believe when you have hit rock bottom, but it’s the truth.

I was wondering when people who don’t believe in Jesus hit rock bottom, who do they go to? How do they get out of that dark place? For me, I know that Jesus is our light and our salvation. He will never leave us and even when I have fear, he will protect us.

All you have to do is have faith in him.

Challenge

Is there something that scares you? Are you worried about the future? Take it to God and do your research. God will provide you the information to put your mind and soul at ease.

Prayer

Lord, I ask you to be with the doctors and nurses tomorrow for my procedure and with everyone who is scared and going through scary situations. While we have faith, help us to ease our mind through information. We know your Word is true and you will never leave us. Thank you for your healing hands, that not only heal our minds but also our bodies and our souls. You are our everything. In your name, Amen.
