Nov 6 – Waiting For….
3:311 – Waiting For….

#faithbites #faithjourney waiting

Setting

Most of America is waiting for the results of the election. We are waiting to see who will be in the white house and congress. We are waiting to see how the next four years compare to the past four years. Life seems at a standstill while we are waiting.

Politics or not, we are often waiting. Maybe it’s to be financially stable or to get married or have a child or travel. It could be as simple as waiting to get to the next place. There is no issue with being patient, but while we wait, we need to live and be observant.

For instance, I was walking the dog the other day, and waiting to get home to do what I needed to do and almost ran into a basketball hoop. I couldn’t see what was in front of my face because I was waiting.

What are we missing when we are just waiting?

Scripture
  • Lamentations 3:25 – The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
  • Psalm 25:5 – Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
Reflection

If we truly believe in the Lord, we will pray to him and await his answer. We will not fret and worry. While we are waiting, we continue our good works here on Earth. We don’t have to wait for him on that as he’s told us how to love and live.

It’s hard for sure while we are waiting for big news or big decisions. This is when we need to use what the Lord has taught us and come together to help each other. Let’s multiple celebrations and divide burdens.

Yes, we are waiting, but we don’t have to stop.

Challenge

What do you do when you are waiting? How do you move forward. What tips and tricks can you share to help others keep moving while waiting.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I pray for our nation. Help us all as we wait to see who you have chosen to lead us. Help us to come together as a people and move forward. We lift up so many things to you. We know you will answer them in your time, in your way, and by your will. Grant us patience and understanding. In your name, Amen.
