Feb 4 – Pray It Up
3:35 – Pray It Up

#faithbites #faithjourney pray

We talk about the power of prayer all the time. The truth is it works. Often when we pray for ourselves it seems to take a long time. When we pray for others, sometimes it’s a quick turn around. We may not know how it will go, but never stop praying for each other.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks with health, potential end of life, work, school, and normal life. I can try everything in my power to fix it, but when I turn it over to God, we have better luck. So keep on praying it up. Doesn’t matter when, where, or what you say. Pray each other up.

Scripture
  • Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. – James 5:16
  • And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. – Job 42:10
  • Pray without ceasing, – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Reflection

In all places, all times, for all reasons, and all people, pray. There is power knowing that others are truly praying for you.

If you have a magic want to wave to get what you need, wouldn’t you wave it? If you could wave it to help others get what they need, wouldn’t you wave it? That’s prayer.

To all those praying for me, thank you. In the words of my friend Matt, “How May I pray for you today?”

Challenge

This is an easy one, just pray it up. For anyone for any reason. Easy peasy.

Prayer

Lord, we pray to you for all kinds of things. We know you hear our prayers and answer them in your own way according to your time and your will. We thank you for that. Help us to pray without ceasing. We love you always. Amen.
