How many times have you been told to keep fighting? That if you give it everything you’ve got, you will win in life. Nothing comes without sacrifice.
We’ve all heard these saying and every day can be a struggle. What if I told you “the works already been done.” In the song, Best News Ever, MercyMe, explains that to us.
Jesus made the sacrifice so we don’t have to. What if the energy we spent swimming up stream could be used to swim down stream? Imagine how much further we’d get.
Much of it comes in how we look at it. Are we fighting against the system or are we living for opportunities? It’s not just words but a reframing on life.
The price has been paid by Jesus. He has done all the work for us to have salvation and everlasting life.
We have a duty to exalt that work. Let’s not spend our days saving up energy fight the world. Rather, let us, look at the opportunities we have to share his love. Sure, there is effort needed but, do we have to work. Most people define work as doing something for pay that you wouldn’t do for free.
Our eternal payment has been made. Now we get to do what we want to to grow and exalt Jesus. It doesnt mean it will be easy, but it can be much more rewarding than fighting everyday. I was at a graduation once, and the speaker said find something that you love so much you would do it every day for free. Then so it so well, someone would pay you for it. That to me is how I want to work. Likewise, Jesus paid for u to share his name, let’s do it with joy.
What is one thing you can do to change from fighting evry day to living every day? Find that one thing.
Gracious Lord, thank ou for doing the work for us. You, in your sacrifice, paid the ultimate price. We get to live life rather than fighting everyday for our soul. Be with us as we struggle in the world and help us to live each day to the fullest rather than fight. In your name, Amen.
