January 30 – Be Still
4:30 – Be Still

#faithbites #faithjourney still

Setting

It’s a cold, rainy, icy day. Whole there are things I need to do, or rather should do, I’m just chilling on the couch. I even took a brief nap.

While we are sent to serve and called for a purpose, we don’t always need to plan and do. We need to rest, recover, and know that God has it covered.

In other words, Be Still.

Today’s question: What are you willing to let go and know that God has it?

Scripture
  • Psalm 46:10 – He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted(B) among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
  • Exodus 14:14 – The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
  • Isaiah 32:17 – And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever.
Reflection

I will be still tonight and let God’s Word shine. God is our Savior, our creator, our fighter, and bringer of peace, love, quietness, and confidence.

All we have to do is be still and have faith.

May God’s peace grant your stillness and rest tonight.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, we often feel we have to do to make change. Than if we aren’t constantly going and doing we are failing. You have a plan and have told us multiple times to be still and have faith. We ask for your to comfort us and remind us that you have a plan for all of this. We thank you, love you, and pledge to be still. In your name, Amen.
