tired and hopeful

3:345 – Worn Out And Hopeful

Setting

Today, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Anxiety about our work virtual Christmas party took over. I know, it’s stupid, but I couldn’t shake it all morning even through the party. Then didn’t feel good and one child was being a pain and I just almost snapped. It’s the feeling that each day I get more tired and less able to cope. But, and I will use the word but here, I know that God has my back. He will help me through this and will help me improve. I just have to reach out and accept his help. The hard thing, is his help comes in ways we aren’t expecting or ready for. From doctors to therapists to friends to naps to games and everything in between, we just need to be ready for whatever he sends our way to help us improve and live in his light.

Are you hopeful?

Scripture

Isaiah 40:38-31 – Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

Reflection

No major words tonight. The only thing I have for you is that you can feel worn AND be hopeful in the Lord. You can be tired, wanting to give up, AND know that God will be your strength and your power always.

When we are experience the downs, it’s easy to crawl into the hole and only see the despair. Use his words to help you and his people to rise you up. He never fails, never gives up, never wearies and will always, always help you. He is our one and only Lord.

Challenge

Just don’t give up. No matter what is going on, turn it over to God.

Prayer

Father God, we love you and thank you. I know we all have days where we are worn out and tired, when there seems to no answers. At the same time, we know you love us and will help us out of this and all situations. You are our refuge and our strength. We will hold onto you through all of this. We pray that you help us feel your presence no matter where we are in our journey. Lord, we thank you so much for this and will always rest in your arms. We give our prayers to you always and forever, Amen.
