3:29 – Put Me In Coach
#faithbites #faithjourney coach
Tomorrow is, as a friend said my Superbowl of faculty development. Its our annual curriculum retreat. Around 100 docs, campus faculty, and staff gathered for a day of curriculum talks, sessions, workshops, and networking. I need to be on my ‘A game’.
After a lot of planning, presentations, and meetings, I’m ready to play. As my supervisor said, this is where I excel. Im great at putting in events like this.
So, are you ready to play? You ready for your Coach, God, to put you in?
- Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” – Genesis 1:26
- Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6:8
The world is ours. In the beginning, God gave us dominion over everything. He tells how to live and wants us to go out and do it. Some of us do, some of us don’t. Then there are times when God says he’s ready to put someone in play. Are you like Isaiah and ready to be sent?
God has given you the skills and the abilities to play. He has said he’s reasy for you. Now its your turn to play centerfield.
So, tomorrow I’ll wake up early, put my game face on, and go get em. Will you?
Are you sitting on the bench of your life ? Remember God has given you awesome skills. Time to hop in and play!
Lord, Coach, put me in, I’m ready to play today. You have given us skills, trained us up, and set the path for us. Give us the perseverance and confidence, to enter the game and play it the way you want us to. We love you and give all the glory and honor. Thank you Lord. Amen.
