2:291 – It WILL Get Better
#faithbites #faithjourney Better
It’s been a rough week with health, work, and stress. Even as hard as it is, I know it’s starting to get better. I had three different friends check in on me yesterday, an impromptu bagel and coffee with a friend, and a little bit of relief with the back. I also had a spark on my dissertation on how to attack it better.
I could look at it as a fluke, but I chose to see that Jesus is at work in my life through the Holy Spirit. Sure, I’m not great and I dont have all the answers, but life’s a journey not a destination.
Scripture
- And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night – Exodus 13:21
- The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. – Psalm 128:1
- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
Reflection
God is watching us in our comings and goings. We was with the Jewish people day and night in the form of smoke and fire. If you look at it, he was ahead of them always. He provides comfort.
Those words are calming. Believing in Jesus doesnt mean life will be easy, in fact several times he says it won’t be. But, the Holy Spirit is with us, Jesus gives us power, we have the armor of God and God is always ahead of us.
I know tomorrow isn’t perfect. I also know I’m not going to feel 100% better. What I do know, is, all of us are loved and protected. It will get better, we just need to be open to Him
Challenge
Celebrate little victories. Had someone call to check in on you? Celebrate! Able to lift one more pound in the dumbbell or write a paragraph on a paper, celebrate.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you. In the darkest times, you give a little bit of light to know the day is coming. You. are already there, preparing it for us. Dont let us forget that. Let us celebrate even the hint of light as we know your Spirit is with us and at the end of the day, everything will be ok. In you Awesome Name, Amen.
