2:276 – Do It For The Kids
#faithbites #faithjourney #redletterchallenge kids
When I die, I want to be remember. I dont want to be forgotten. The best was at for me to do that, is to be remembered by my children. I want them to have the best life possible. I found my faith through my eldest. Because of my children, I try to be the best version of myself I can be.
All week we’ve talked about service. Today, its about serving the little ones in your life. Whether its speaking life into them, being with them, or just helping out. You are changing them and providing service.
Scripture
- Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
- The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. – Matthew 25:40
Reflection
Children can easily be seen as the least of us. They come to us for protection, care, and all their needs. How can we be servants of we dont take care of the children? Even, Jesus told the disciples to let the children come to him. He wanted to serve them, just as we are commanded to serve them.
I’m far from a perfect servant. I try to spend time with my children, not yell at them, and serve as much as I can. Some days I fail, some days I’m pretty good at it. But in my heart, I try to serve and help all children have a good start
Challenge
Find one child and serve them. It can be a letter, a good word, anything. Your service will change them in ways you never will know.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for blessing us with little ones in our lives. We see your joy and love in their eyes. Remind us to always be open, loving, and serving of children. They love us and we want them to be off to the right start. You know how best to serve them, help us to learn how. In your name, Amen.
