2:36 – It’s In God’s Hands Now
#faithbites #faithjourney hands
Tomorrow is Surgery Day. I have some fears and anxiety, but it’s in God’s hands now. Most people say this when they either have given up, have done everything they can, or just don’t know how to proceed. In my case, I’m saying it’s in God’s hands, because everything belongs to God and everything, including us, are his.
He’s given the doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff the gifts they use everyday. He has directed my life so I am being treated by the right people at the right time. Because of him, everything that should be, will be.
It’s not that I am not taking responsibility but using the gifts God has given me to make the best choices possible. So yes, it’s all in his hands.
Scripture
- ‘WAS IT NOT MY HAND WHICH MADE ALL THESE THINGS?’ – Acts 7:50
- The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. – Psalm 19:1
- My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. – John 10:29
Reflection
I can worry, I can free, but is it going to help? I don’t think so. Some say that I’m giving up or that it is a sign of weakness to turn it over to God. The word of God tells us that we are his children and he will look after his children. If we ask for it, we will receive it. I pray nightly and will pray again with the nurses and doctors tomorrow, if they are willing. The Lord watches us and I turn it over to his might hands.
Charge
Make God your co-pilot. Give Jesus the Wheel. Whatever you want to call it, give your life, your troubles, and tribulations to God’s hands. If he created the world, he definitely can answer your needs.
Prayer
Dear Gracious Lord. I give my life to you and your hands. I ask for guidance for the Doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff for my surgery tomorrow. Give them your strength, steady hands, and your knowledge to make everything go as planned tomorrow. Help all of us to remember, you are God and you are the miracle worker. In Jesus name, Amen.
