January 7 – Duty to Share our Light

We have a duty in life. To share our kindness, share our love, and carry our candle into the darkness. Today at church we sang Go Light your World (originally by Kathy Trocoli and covered by Chris Rice).

I say carry your candle. Light the world, you can help.
“Frustrated brother, see how he’s tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she’s been robbed and lied to
Still hold a candle without a flame”
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105 NIV

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:5 NIV
The light in the darkness is and has always been there. Sometimes he needs someone to help us seem him. Can you be that light in the darkness for someone?
