Sitting on a grassy hill on an overcast day, music blaring, people singing, lights flashing, and my oldest laying in my lap cuddling. That is a moment I never want to forget. She complete trust me in to keep her warm, to protect her, and to always be there for her. This is but one of the many moments we had at the Live \/ Counting Crows concert yesterday. In “A Long December”, one of my favorite lyrics is: “I can’t remember all the time I tried to tell myself to hold on to these moments as they pass”. That was one of those moments I never want to forget. (Yes, I know I already said that. This is how powerful that moment is). Life isn’t made of up huge life-changing moments, just small touching moments. In our crazy busy life, it’s easy to go through the motions, check things off the list and go onto the next.<\/p>\n

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had times when I look back at a day or even an event and I have almost no recollection of it. I remember it happened but have no early idea on what happened. It was as if I stepped “out the front door like a ghost into a fog where no one notices the contrast of white on white”. (Yup, another Counting Crows lyric).<\/p>\n

How often do you walk through life like a ghost? Do you forget those precious moments? How do you hold on to them?<\/p>\n
