A whistle blows followed by a splash in the water. LifeGuards come running out of the guard house. Everyone looks around to see where the splash came from and see a lifeguard grabbing a child out of the water. This is the job of a lifeguard. To watch the people and save those who are in trouble.<\/p>\n

While going to swim lessons tonight, my youngest said something along the lines that she has to learn to be along without mommies, daddies, sissy, or anyone. I asked what she meant and after talking, it sounded like when she grows up she needs to be self-sufficient and alone. My words, not hers.<\/p>\n

I asked her who is there when no one else is. She wasn’t sure, then I said who is in the sky. She said Jesus and Jesus helps me. I said yes he does. He has put people in your life and you won’t be alone but if you ever feel alone, he is there.<\/p>\n

Then she said that Jesus will stop fights at the pool. Then we talked about the role of lifeguards and how they protect those who they watch over. Just like Jesus.<\/p>\n

That made me think that while the pool has lifeguards, we have a life guard.<\/p>\n
