I was sitting at the airport, drinking a coffee, and a family came walking by. One of the kids was holding onto his stuffed animal. I could tell that animal was well-loved and gave that kid a sense of security. My own daughters have had stuffed animals or pillows that they hold to protect them, keep them safe, and provide a sense of security? What is it about these stuffies that make us feel secure? I don’t know but I know when I was younger, I had a stuffed bear that I named Yogi and he helped me feel secure. Some hold onto objects that they believe may provide physical safety like a gun, a mask, or a fence. But what does safety really mean and how can we feel safe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us don’t have a physical security object to help us feel safe but we hold onto something else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
