Isaiah 8:11-17<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n11\u00a0<\/sup>This is what the\u00a0Lord\u00a0says to me with his strong hand upon me,\u00a0warning me not to follow\u00a0the way of this people:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n12\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cDo not call conspiracy
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0everything this people calls a conspiracy;
do not fear what they fear,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and do not dread it.
13\u00a0<\/sup>The\u00a0Lord\u00a0Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0he is the one you are to fear,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0he is the one you are to dread.
14\u00a0<\/sup>He will be a holy place;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for both Israel and Judah he will be
a stone\u00a0that causes people to stumble
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and a rock that makes them fall.
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0a trap and a snare.
15\u00a0<\/sup>Many of them will stumble;<\/em>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0they will fall and be broken,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0they will be snared and captured.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n16\u00a0<\/sup>Bind up this testimony of warning
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and seal\u00a0up God\u2019s instruction among my disciples.
17\u00a0<\/sup>I will wait\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0who is hiding\u00a0his face from the descendants of Jacob.
I will put my trust in him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
