Your heart starts pumping. You feel like your blood is boiling. You want to just scream. Yes, this is your body&#8217;s reaction to getting angry. Not just angry but close to rage. Have you ever felt like your blood is boiling? Over the past couple of days. I have let myself get triggered and angry to the point when I want to scream. The question is, how do we take those boiling blood moments and move forward? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Questions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Are there specific actions or activities that make your blood boil?<\/li><li>How can we, once we know what ticks us off, use it to not get as angry. <\/li><li>When we do get to that stage, how can we move beyond without blowing up?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/psa.37.8\" class=\"verseLink\">Psalm 37:8<\/a> &#8211; Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.1.20\" class=\"verseLink\">James 1:20<\/a> &#8211; For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.16.32\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 16:32<\/a> &#8211; Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We all know that <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2018\/08\/25\/august-25-blood-boiling-anger\/\">anger can hurt<\/a>. It doesn&#8217;t feel good to be angry nor to have our blood boil. Today&#8217;s focus scripture is <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.16.32\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 16:32<\/a>. We know it&#8217;s better to be kind than angry, but this scripture puts it into perspective. If you are slow to anger you are strong! If you rule your spirit (not get angry or have boiling blood) you are stronger than someone who can conquer a city. I&#8217;ve never thought about controlling my anger as a strength. I have just thought of it as a way to not get in trouble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember that being upset and angry is normal. Not everything is going our way. When we get to the point of our blood boiling, we&#8217;ve gone too far. Let us focus on how to step back, breathe, and turn the situation to God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord God, the world is crazy right now. So many things to get mad about, so much division. We pray that you help us not get so angry that we can&#8217;t think. We pray that you give us strength and guidance to handle any situation that we come across.
