Usually that means to be proven wrong when you thought you were right.  Have you ever held into something so tight and realized that you were wrong? What did the other person do when the realized it? How did you change your outlook?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.4.10\" class=\"verseLink\">James 4:10<\/a> &#8211; Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mat.23.12\" class=\"verseLink\">Matthew 23:12<\/a> &#8211; Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.22.4\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 22:4<\/a> &#8211; The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord. Are riches, honor and life.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>What does it mean to humble yourself? Merriam-Webster defines humble yourself as &#8220;to do or say something which shows that one knows one has been wrong, has behaved with too much pride, etc&#8221;. Some believe that humbling yourself means that you are not worthy and bad. God never says that. He wants us to know our place in reference to him. He is our father and Lord and we are his children. When we follow his rules, we succeed, when we don&#8217;t, we struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides humbling ourselves to God, we need to humble ourselves to each other. Being humble when we are wrong lines up with <a href=\"http:\/\/Submit\">submitting to one another<\/a>. In a nutshell, these two principles help us understand how we should react to one and fit perfectly in Jesus&#8217;s commandment to love God and love one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember there is nothing wrong with being wrong. It shows that we know when we need forgiveness and that we don&#8217;t need to be the most important person in the world. We already know who that is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, we pray tonight that you teach us humility and how to be humble. Remind us that what we think is important really isn&#8217;t that important. Help us to focus on you always.
