Smart warches. Alexa. Tablets. Internet of things. We are literally connected all the time to everyone but are we actually connected or disconnected? At Disney, not only did I have my smart watch, I also had my magic band on. If they were off, I felt naked. Like I was missing something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I told my boss I turned off email on my phone he asked if I felt disconnected and missing it. At first, I did, as if I was missing something. But now, I&#8217;m getting used to it and it feels good. I&#8217;m getting over it. We all need time to separate from the day to day and be fully in the now and not on the next.. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"questions\">Questions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Do you ever fully disconnect from pm work and duties? <\/li><li>Do you allow yourself to fully connect with God? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"scripture\">Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1jn.2.15\" class=\"verseLink\">1 John 2:15<\/a> 17 &#8211; <sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>Do not love the world or anything in the world.\u00a0If anyone loves the world, love for the Father<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www-biblegateway-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/v\/s\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20John%202%3A15-17&amp;version=NIV&amp;interface=amp&amp;amp_js_v=0.1&amp;usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#fen-NIV-30566a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0is not in them.<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>For everything in the world\u2014the lust of the flesh,\u00a0the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life\u2014comes not from the Father but from the world.\u00a0<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>The world and its desires pass away,\u00a0but whoever does the will of God\u00a0lives forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"reflection\">Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>God wants us to focus on him.. It&#8217;s hard when we are focused on the world.. I was watching a show and saw them teaching about horseback riding. The horse goes where you look. If you are looking at the ground or the horse, the horse doesn&#8217;t know where to go. If you look ahead, they know. We are like that. Too often we are looking at the ground or the horses head because we don&#8217;t know where to look. God tells us to focus on him and we will live with him forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember that we can&#8217;t focus on God if we are always fully connected to the world. Take time to disconnect from the world and connect to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"prayer\">Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father, we are so occupied with what&#8217;s next, what we have to do, and everything that everyone expects us to do. You only expect us to love you and follow you. We pray that you help us take the time we need to fully disconnect from thisnworld from time to time so that you may recharge us through our connection with you.
