What You Are?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>#faithbites #faithjourney who<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"intro\">Intro<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks for ALLOWing me to take a break by sharing #faithbiteslite over the past 9 days. Today we are back home and I&#8217;m finding my new routine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I was listening to I Am The Walrus, while taking a shower this afternoon, and was just rocking out. I was having a blast. At that moment, I wondered what happened to that guy wh listened to the Beatles, was wild, and crazy. I then told myself I am older, a husband, father, employee, friend, caregiver, faculty developer, and the list goes on. I then wondered if that is what I am or who I am. What does that even mean? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dictionary definitions are below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>What &#8211; asking for information specifying something<\/li><li>Who &#8211; used to introduce a clause giving further information about a person or people previously mentioned<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We know we are <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/09\/19\/september-19-keep-your-sparkle-switch-on\/\">chosen blessed children of God<\/a>, but who are we? Is that Who we are or what we are?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"questions\">Questions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Do you know who you are? How do you define yourself? <\/li><li>Is the &#8220;what&#8221; of your life, taking over the &#8220;who&#8221; of your life? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"scripture\">Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1jn.3.1\" class=\"verseLink\">1 John 3:1<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"reflection\">Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>God made us and calls us his children. The world wants us to classify and quantify ourselves. That is why we struggle with the questions of who and what we are. We need to focus on the gifts we have, explore them, and not let the world tell us who or what we are. I know I&#8217;m a blessed child of God. I also know I need to let some of the garbage that clouds my. Mind and my soul go away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember that we don&#8217;t need to say what we are but we also can&#8217;t confuse what we do with who we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"prayer\">Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavenly Father, you have blessed us with life and talents. We pray that you help us remember that all we need is you and that no matter how the world tries to put us in a box, your&#8217;s is the only approval we need.
