I&#8217;m pretty lenient but sometimes even picking the clothes off the floor is too hard for them. They want to argue and complain. After the argument is over, we talk about it and I said wouldn&#8217;t it have been easier if you just listened. They don&#8217;t want to admit it, but they agree. Following Mom and Dad&#8217;s rules can bring peace. (And yes, I did the same as a kid)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God gives us laws to live by. He also gave us Jesus as he knew we couldn&#8217;t keep to the law and need forgiveness. This is why our God is such a loving God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: Are you fighting against God&#8217;s law? How do you know when it&#8217;s God&#8217;s law vs a human interpretation of it? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"scripture\">Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/psalms\/119-165.html\">Psalm 119:165<\/a> &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/psa.4.8\" class=\"verseLink\">Psalm 4:8<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2th.3.16\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Thessalonians 3:16<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"reflection\">Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I ddon&#8217;t like to follow rules, but as a participating citizen, I know it&#8217;s right. There are human laws that I disagree with but try to follow until I can change them. Those Las are supposed to keep me safe. God&#8217;s laws are indisputable and are made to protect our souls and give us peace. When we fight against them, we see more struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are fighting against them, it&#8217;s not too late. Jesus will forgive and help you. One thing to remember is that people misconstrue God&#8217;s law all the time. Don&#8217;t listen to people. Read the <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/04\/12\/april-12-read-the-whole-story\/\">whole story<\/a> and understand what God wants. Then lean on people who God puts. In your life for support, redirection, and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember that God&#8217;s law is to bring peace not to control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 id=\"prayer\">Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord God, thank you for giving us your law and direction. We need it in our lives. When we rebel, please forgive us. We pray that you help us follow your laws more fully and that we can understand the spirit behind them. Thank you for helping us be better servants.
