I&#8217;ve been having a good time, doing more, them BAM, its back. While it really huets, I know I&#8217;m still making progress. This setback isnt the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My daughter had a volleyball tournament over the weekend. We know that there is always a <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/09\/09\/september-9-there-is-always-game-3\/\">game three<\/a> where even if you lose one, you can still win the match.  And in a tournament, you can lose aatch and still come home with a trophy.  A setback isn&#8217;t a loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setbacks shouldn&#8217;t be looked at a game over. We ebb and flow. Sometimes we make progress, other times its a step back. But asong as we keep trying, we will keep moving forward.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: How do you handle a setback? How can you use your faith to grow and move forward?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.1.2-4\" class=\"verseLink\">James 1:2-4<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.5.3-5\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 5:3-5<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God&#8217;s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Two steps forward and one step back. Tbis is how we go in life. Sometimes it feels like we are moving backward, but we are still going on God&#8217;s path. He told us it will be difficult and we will struggle. When this happens, we need to rely on our faith.  These struggles help us be steadfast, build endurance, and produces character. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m laying here in pain and unable to go to girl scouts. In the past, I would have pushed through it but now Ive learned I can ask for help. My coleader is running the meeting for me so I can rest. This is how we build character and connections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, rememebr its ok to have a setback. This doesmt define you. What defines you js how you react to the setback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Prayer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, we pray that you help us overcome our setbacks. Help js be strong amd courageous.  Let is build charactwr as we work the plan and steward what you have given us.
