Ships waitong weeks to deliver their goods because of lack of truck drivers. You may have heard of delays in products beuse core materials are hard to come by. Then the &#8220;warning&#8221; that Christmas may be ruined because of these delays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, I&#8217;ve seen people posting saying the Bible says money is evil and if its wrong why do churches want it. Today we are going to look at these issues.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: What does the bible say avout how we should celebrate Christmas? What does the bible say about money?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/luk.2.11\" class=\"verseLink\">Luke 2:11<\/a> &#8211; For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1ti.6.10\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Timothy 6:10<\/a> &#8211; For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>First, #faithbites is too short to truly do justice to these topics. These are sermon series or Bible studies. There are some who say we shouldn&#8217;t celebrate Christmas.  If we look in the Bible Christmas isnt mentioned becuase it didnt exist.  We so see that the meaning of Christmas, Jesus&#8217;s birthday was true and given. Many celebrated that our Messiah was born and God kept his promises. That is worth celebrating everyday. The issue comes when we commericialize it so much that it is all about the pomp and circumstance (gifts, decorations, and routines) that we forget about Jesus. You shouldn&#8217;t have to go into debt to celebrate Jesus&#8217;s birth and it&#8217;s meaning for us. Giving isn&#8217;t bad nor is celebrating Jesus. But if a lack of money or stuck cargo ships ruins Chridtmas, you may want to rethink how you are celebrating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of money. The Bible never says it is evil. Its useful and can help in God&#8217;s work. The love of money is evil. When all we are doing is trying to get more money then it has become an idol that we woeship and God forbids that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember to look beyond the memes and thr news to the Good News. He will never steer you wrong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, help us to focus on the <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/04\/12\/april-12-read-the-whole-story\/\">true meaning<\/a> of your birth, life, and death on the cross. Let us listen to your word and understand it fully, rather than just what people say it means. We love you and thank you for everything you do for us daily. We pray that our observances and life are pleasing to you.
