Flu shot and COVID #3. Today, I&#8217;m tired and lethargic. But its ok, I&#8217;ll be better tomorrow. Its my part to help others. A little bit of sacrififce on my part to meet the needs of the many. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a Star Trek fan like me, you are familiar sith the phrase, &#8220;The needs of the many outweigh the neds of the few (or the one)&#8221;. Spock sacriffices himself in one of the most moving scenes in Star Trek to save the crew. What I didnt know is that phrase has a counter part in scripture.  In fact, that phrase sums up the entire Bible. Jeses gave up himself (the one) to meet the needs of the many (all of us)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: How do you sacrifice for the many? How to you thank Jesus for dying for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.11.50\" class=\"verseLink\">John 11:50<\/a> &#8211; You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1pe.3.18\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Peter 3:18<\/a> &#8211; For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>In John we see that they want to put Jesus to desth to save the Jewish people.  This isn&#8217;t how we see his death. They want hin to die so the Romans don&#8217;t take it out on the Jews. The Romans couldnt see someome being called King when the Jews were subjugated. We know for Gods plan to be fufillwd, Jesus would die. We see him not as being put to death for crime but chosing to go to the cross to bring us back to God. In that ultimate sacriffice he saved us all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, Spock may have chosen death to save the Enterprjse. But Jesus chose death to give us eternal life. The needs of the many were more important than the needs of the one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, we must remember ojr needs are impkrtant and God will answer them. Whsn we serve, we meet the needs of the many as God intended.  We are #Sent2Serve<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, thank you for dying to bring us eternal salvation.  We love you and use your love as an exampl. Help us to serve with open arms and hearts.
